Recruiting Clarity

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Clear answers to help you make informed decisions about your athlete’s recruiting journey.

Honesty & PoliciesQ1

Does MBA Sports guarantee scholarships?

No. Scholarships, admissions, roster opportunities, and athletic offers are controlled exclusively by colleges and athletic programs. MBA Sports provides recruiting education, guidance, and strategy. We help position athletes for maximum visibility and preparation without misleading promises.

TimelinesQ2

When should we start the recruiting process?

The earlier athletes understand recruiting, the more time they have to prepare, develop relationships, and make informed decisions. Freshman and sophomore years are vital for establishing academic eligibility baselines and foundational athletic metrics, while junior and senior years focus on targeted coach communication and evaluation.

Athlete SessionsQ3

What happens during the $100 strategy session?

We conduct an in-depth review of the athlete’s current recruiting situation, academic profile, goals, highlight film, coach outreach history, and potential athletic division fit (D1, D2, D3, NAIA, JUCO). You walk away with clear, prioritized next steps.

School EngagementsQ4

How much does it cost for a school?

The initial school recruiting strategy session is $500. This covers comprehensive workshop sessions for student-athletes, parent educational forums, or coaching staff alignment.

School EngagementsQ5

Does the $500 school price include travel?

No. If an in-person engagement requires MBA Sports to travel, the school or organization is responsible for approved travel-related expenses (airfare, lodging, mileage, ground transport) in addition to the $500 strategy fee. Travel expectations are agreed upon before confirming dates.

LogisticsQ6

Can sessions be virtual?

Yes. Depending on the service, schedule, and geographic location, MBA Sports can work virtually with athletes, parents, schools, and organizations nationwide via Zoom or Microsoft Teams.

Athlete SessionsQ7

How do we know which college athletic division is realistic?

Evaluating division fit involves analyzing physical metrics, verified game film, position-specific requirements, academic admissibility, and current recruiting activity. We provide an honest, objective appraisal of where the athlete currently fits and what is needed to reach higher targets.

StrategyQ8

Why do so many athletes get missed by college coaches?

Most athletes rely purely on high school games or attend expensive showcases without targeted coach relationships. College coaches have limited recruiting budgets and cannot recruit athletes they do not know about. Proactive, professional outreach changes that dynamic.
